Joe Peyronnin is currently a corporate advisor to several new media companies. He is also an adjunct journalism professor at New York University. In 1999 he founded Telemundo network news and served as its Executive Vice President until 2006. In 1995 Peyronnin was appointed President of Fox News, leaving in 1996 to join a corporate communications firm. From 1989 to 1995 he served as Vice President and Assistant to the President CBS News where he oversaw newsgathering and news programming. He was Vice President and Washington Bureau Chief for CBS News in 1987 and 1988. From 1979 to 1986 he worked at CBS News as a producer and senior producer based Washington where he covered the White House, Congress, politics and he traveled extensively overseas on a variety of major assignments. He began his career at CBS in 1970. He has received three journalism awards, including two Emmys. Peyronnin is a Trustee at Columbia College Chicago, Vice President of the Board of the Mental Health Association of New York City, and a member of the Council of Foreign Relations. He has an MBA from Roosevelt University, Chicago, and a BA from Columbia College Chicago. He lives in NY.
