I heard Facebook removed a picture of a breastfeeding woman, and Craigslist tightened the reins on their erotic services section. However, I wasn't overly-concerned with electronic censorship -- until it directly affected me.

A new 17-inch MacBook was announced today at MacWorld. It's thin, lightweight (for a 17-inch notebook), but has one serious flaw: A non-removable battery.

Apple has $25 billion in cash in the bank. Dell's market cap is $22 billion. Apple could buy Dell outright without borrowing a dime.

There a million and one "shortcuts," but learning them all takes forever. These headache savers are those I use almost every time I touch a computer.

If you haven't heard of World of Warcraft, you must be someone who actually leaves your house. For a newbie like me, it was quite an experience.
Simran Sethi, 08.04.2008
Be aware, it takes even more energy and resources, pound for pound, to produce a Dell than a Dodge. A computer's energy usage has just begun once it leaves the factory, though.

The information technology industry has a long way to go towards becoming more sustainable. For a start, there is still no widely understood standard for greener PCs.

O'Sh**.
Yup, go from country to country as costs increase until no country has been left behind.
From now on I will never buy a Dell or have anything to do with any of their products or services.

Is this a Polish joke? I am just angry that all of this work has gone anywhere out of
the USA and I worked for a company that does most of its work in India now. Of course,
being that I am American, I and all the US based employees are now out of work.
When do they start sending the work to Iraq?
When will they start taxing the heck out of these American companies that outsource our jobs and import foreign workers?
That will be a major step in moving this economy forward.
The politicians know this, but they don't care, they just wan to keep getting those nice fat donations from the corporations.
The poor people of Limerick. They are already reeling from a disproportionately high unemployment compared to the rest of the country, and now this. Being at the mercy of corporate cost-cutting stinks.
